MAA believes in the promotion of six fundamental rights which are essential to the sovereignty and production of nations namely the right to food security, the right to the entirety of the national territory, the right to the integrity of the agricultural territory, the right to protect family farming, the right to fair prices to farm products and the right to manage domestic markets. After more than 25 years of existence, MAA programs continue to be committed to the food security of the most vulnerable groups in mauritius in crop, livestock, and fishing and craft productions. Its missions today are to promote the food security of families of the most vulnerable groups to meet their nutritional needs, to empower the poor and marginalized communities and facilitate their actions towards sustainable development, and to advocate so that the realization of food security be the central objective of agricultural and food policies, and of local, regional, and international trades.
